Hello! I’am SENEN J.R. BALATBAT and these are my personal and freelance creations, I’am also a full time Senior Web Designer and Front End Developer. A proud #Pinoy (filipino) and “tinola” is my favorite ulam (dish). I make interactive things on your screen.
It all started back at college with my fascination of the camera. I was taking up a degree in Information Technology at that time, I’ve been around computers since Windows 3.1. Eventually I found myself doing more than just taking pictures. I began applying what I learned in photography to websites and integrated the best and latest web technologies. Which as an I.T. gave me an edge both at the back end and even the server side. I also studied UI/UX and began tinkering around with xHTML, CSS, Ajax and a little bit of PHP.
But I needed more than I.T. I went to seminars, conferences, explored and introduced myself to graphic designers and there work, good people with good taste, even talked to some marketing staff along the way.
After getting my degree all the hard work paid off, I was living my dream, The Creative iTechnologist.
I’ve recently adapted my own style when it comes to designing websites. I primarily create minimalist themed sites with photography in it and add subtle details to spice it a bit but I still do pretty much everything from corporate to grunge. For the front and back end development however I like creative coding, experimenting with those lines to make it function in an awesome manner.
I did not stop there I wanted to share my thoughts and experiences about my new found passions. Technology, web design and photography to everyone and give them a little helping hand too. But like all common things I wanted to separate myself from the general populous of bloggers so I did some pretty unique stories there.
As of late, I’ve been quite busy writing, creating, shooting, being an office monkey and freelancing. Whenever I get burned I pause for awhile and bring that good ‘ol time machine for a walk.
